for any new vehicle, Tata surprisingly transferred Safari Dicor is a 2.2l engine. But Tata says the engine is a completely different beast compared to the one used in Safari and Sumo Grande. Aria powered by 2.2l DICOR engine produces 140PS at 4000rpm and 320Nm at peak torque between 1700rpm to 2700rpm.Motor has evolved with the addition of dual mass flywheel (DMF), which requires to run the engine at idle near the rpms for better fuel efficiency . Dad worked on the G-76 transmission (used in Safari) for Aria.

Aria rides on 235/65 R17 tires on all wheels. Tata intentionally added all-wheel drive / four-wheel drive on all versions Aria (termed as Adapterra). You will drive defaultly Aria in 4WD mode, but you can switch to 2WD only the touch of a button on the panel (see the dash buttons harder to find). Aria is essentially a rear-wheel drive switch to activate the 2WD drive off just did not get a chance to recognize the different driving modes.
